I have been using drawings lately to work through some of my own psychological hang-ups as I navigate this period of time in my life. They only take an hour or two to draw and the goal is to express a feeling based on a mindset that I'm currently working through. I could tell you what they mean to me, but I'm kind of more interested in hearing what they mean to you, if you want to share.
Here is what I have so far:
Learn, Learn, Learn.. Jump
The label on the book between History and Medicine would have been "Sanity" if I'd planned it well enough to fit it.
Follow Your Heart
The heart at the bottom got cut off because I did a lousy job of photographing and cropping but it is in the "abyss".
Getting Over THIS Wall
Love how the lighting made the paper look purple. Lol.
In the first four attempts the blue represents glass.
Blind-folded and ears covered.
I ran out of ink and had to buy a new marker to finish the black around this one.
Time to Let Go
Didn't wait long enough to erase the pencil after adding ink. Oops.
I have a part 2 to this drawing in my mind that I hope to get around to drawing in the next week or so.
That's all for now. I'm sure there will be an update to this soon though. I have a lot of things I'm trying to resolve within myself and I already have a couple of images in mind that I need to sit down and draw.
Let me know your thoughts.
