Becoming Worthy: A Theory Part 2: Maybe "Worthy" isn't the best word
Personal Challenge 7 of 20
Worthy has certain connotations that I don't mean to imply. It implies an inherent value in relation to others. This isn't what the meaning of the phrase was. I guess a better though admittedly less catchy title would be: Becoming Ready.
We are all worthy. We all have internal worth (I believe). Whether we choose to act on that worth or not may vary depending on person, circumstance, and perspective. I guess what I was referring to in the previous post was more about preparing the self so that those inherent gifts could be used for their fullest potential. It's like tilling a field, or an athlete preparing for a competition.
In the previous post I talked about how this statement was a response to a question I asked. I should qualify this a bit.
Sometimes when I pray/ meditate/ dream I get "answers" that aren't in word form. They are messages that make sense to me, but then I have to translate them into a language to unpack them fully. The language I speak (English) doesn't always have all the words I need (or I don't know all of them). So I feel like there is this implicit knowing that I understand, but when I try to share it the translation can be off.
Yesterday I translated the message as "worthy" but it didn't have be "worthy" it could have been "prepared, ready, experienced, responsible". Basically here is a different way of looking at that message:
When you are ready to handle it, the opportunities for your dreams will arrive and you will be able to make use of them to see progress that you didn't expect. Until you are ready none of this matters. So keep working on getting ready.
This morning my head cleared up a little (I'm still pretty unfocused, dizzy, and a little sick) and I realized that yesterday's post was not what I wanted it to be.
Still the title Becoming Worthy is much more catchy than Becoming Ready so for now I'll leave it. I might go back and change it later-- or in the future any of these types of post might be titled something like Being Ready, Preparation, etc.
Thanks for sticking with me. Sorry if this is a little all over the place.
